Poole Quay 21st March - 13th April 2008

Images of sunsets over Poole Harbour were captured daily throughout winter 2007/8 using a number of publicly accessible web-cams. Colours were selected directly from the collected images to produce a sequence that represents three months of sunsets. The colour sequence was then translated back into light using LED’s forming a rolling wave of colour.

Awesome!

Saturday night was an amazing evening.

The boat trip leading up to viewing the work in it's full glory at night was an excellent build up to the event. The trip made you appreciate the most beautiful settings, often taken for granted when you live in such a beautiful area for a long time.

I felt the work enhanced the magic of the landscape. The changing of colour lights seemed to have been inspired by how light bounces naturally on water from activities on land. It's calming and soothing to watch and a great land mark of Poole Quay.

Well done to all involved.

:D
